I’m glad you’re here. I’ve always had a passion for and been drawn to personal and professional development. It’s the reason that I write, teach, and coach. A Bit of History

I was an executive recruiter and coach at a national search firm for 8 years. In 2006, I decided to branch out on my own. I started A Vita Career Management and as a certified career coach, professional resume writer, and job search consultant. In this role, I helped clients get interviews, build personal brands, and better position themselves for career success.

Credentials

Over the past 10 years, I have studied organizational management and business psychology extensively. Currently, I am working on a dissertation for a Doctorate Degree in Business Psychology. Currently, I hold a Master of Arts in Organizational Management, HR and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management. Additionally, I’ve earned several professional credentials; I am a graduate of Coach U’s Core Essentials program, a Career Coach Institute Certified Career Coach, and a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach. I received the Certified Professional Resume Writer designation from the Professional Association of Resume Writers and was a long-standing member of Career Director’s International.

Approach

My approach is holistic, based on art, science, and research, and focused on clients’ goals and aspirations. I leverage assessments in personal and professional development coaching, including MBTI, Strong, FIRO, DISC, EIQ-2 [and a host of others] to help clients gain insights into their strengths, blind spots, performance levels, leadership abilities, and emotional intelligence. I partner with clients to make shifts in their work/life balance, reach goals and objectives, achieve dreams and aspirations, and ultimately realize success.

Commitment

People want more out of life than just going to work, heading home, and getting up the next day to do the same thing. That’s why I started PersonalDevelopmentalist. Life is too short to dread work, have awful boss, or suffer with insomnia on Sunday nights thinking about yet another day doing something you hate.
